Silver Airways Expands Service to Southeast United States

A major Florida and Bahamas airline, Silver Airways recently implemented a major expansion in the Southeastern U.S. with new, daily nonstop flights to and from New Orleans. The overall expansion plan was designed under the leadership of former CEO Dave Pflieger and the increases in service include nonstop twice-daily flights between New Orleans and Birmingham, Alabama, and nonstop once-daily flights between New Orleans and Pensacola. These new flights offer individuals living in the Birmingham and Pensacola areas easy, nonstop access to New Orleans, while opening up many key points in Florida and the Bahamas to New Orleans residents through connection opportunities.

In addition, Silver Airways recently announced new daily nonstop flights between Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport and Orlando International Airport. The route offers Georgia residents one-stop service to Fort Myers, Fort Lauderdale, Tallahassee, Key West, and several destinations in the Bahamas. The Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport has not had direct flights to Florida since 2011, when American Eagle stopped serving Miami. The new service also opens up opportunities for individuals in the Orlando area to explore the Georgia coast.
