ATEC (Honeywell/Pratt & Whitney) completed testing of second HPW3000 being designed to replace existing engines on U.S. Army Apache and Black Hawk helicopters under AATD’s Advanced Affordable Turbine Engine (AATE) Science and Technology program.

EXELIS introduced CorvusEye 1500 visible color and infrared (IR) sensor for mid-size unmanned and manned aircraft for day/night wide area airborne surveillance; unit is 15 in. in diameter, weighs less than 95 lb. and covers up to 2 km (1.24 mi.) in diameter.
