USAF Loses F-15 In U.K.

LONDON — A U.K.-based U.S. Air Force F-15 Eagle has crashed into the countryside in Lincolnshire during a training flight.

The twin-seat F-15D came down in fields near Weston Hills, near the Lincolnshire town of Spalding in northeastern England at around 3.30 p.m. on Oct. 8. The sole pilot on board successfully ejected, and police officials said he suffered only “very minor injuries.”
