Thai LCC Abandons Move To Don Mueang

Thai Airways low-cost carrier (LCC) offshoot Thai Smile has backtracked on recent plans to move its operations to Bangkok’s de facto LCC hub, Don Mueang International Airport.

As recently as July, the carrier said it was to move all its point-to-point operations to the secondary Bangkok airport, which is used by rival operators Nok Air, Orient Thai, Thai AirAsia, Thai Lion Air and Scoot. The move was planned for the end of October.
