IRNSS-1C Launch Rescheduled For Oct. 16

NEW DELHI — The Indian Regional Navigational Satellite System (IRNSS-1C), the country’s third navigation satellite, will be launched on Oct. 16, nearly a week after technical error forced postponement of its previously scheduled Oct. 10 liftoff.

“The launch window of the mission opens at 01:32 hours local time and lasts till 01:47 hours. The liftoff is scheduled at the opening of the launch window at 01:32 hours,” a scientist at the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) tells Aviation Week.
