Greece To Resurrect Maritime Patrol Capability

LONDON — Greece is trying to resurrect its P-3 Orion maritime patrol aircraft, five years after the fleet was grounded.

The Hellenic government has made a request to the U.S. government for a $500 million program that would upgrade five P-3B Orions with a mid-life update (MLU) as well as modify and reactivate an additional two aircraft, according to an Oct. 6 statement from the Defense Security and Cooperation Agency (DSCA).
