Former Finmeccanica Head Convicted Of False Invoicing

LONDON — Giuseppe Orsi, the former president and CEO of Finmeccanica, has received a two-year suspended prison sentence for false invoicing.

Orsi, along with the former CEO of AgustaWestland, Bruno Spagnolini, were found guilty of false invoicing by the tribunal in Busto Arsizio in a corruption case relating to the sale of 12 VIP helicopters to the Indian government dating back to Orsi’s overseeing of Finmeccanica’s rotary-wing division, AgustaWestland in March 2010.
