Khazanah Narrows Down Malaysian CEO Search

SINGAPORE — Mohd Nadziruddin Mohd Basri may be the favored candidate to replace Ahmad Jauhari as Malaysia Airlines (MAS) CEO, Aviation Week has learned.

With only a few candidates left on the list, the troubled carrier is close to announcing a new CEO, a person familiar with the matter said. Whoever gets the job will be tasked with steering the airline through a major restructuring initiative following years of losses, the disappearance of flight MH370 and the shooting down of MH17 over Ukraine.
