India Delays Navigation Satellite Launch

NEW DELHI — The launch of the third Indian Regional Navigational Satellite System (IRNSS-1C), scheduled for Oct. 10, has been delayed at least a week by a technical problem, a senior space scientist says.

IRNSS-1C is slated to be lofted aboard an Indian Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C26).

“A technical snag has been detected in the tele-command system due to which the launch has been postponed,” says the scientist at the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).
