Australia May Lift C-17 Fleet To 10

BEIJING — The Australian defense department has confirmed that it may seek two Boeing C-17A Globemasters in addition to the pair that it has just decided to order and the six that the country has in service.

As a result, the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) may tie India as the largest non-U.S. operator of the heavy airlifter, alongside the Indian air force, which has ordered 10, but reportedly has options on six more. The Royal Air Force has eight.
