New Engine For ScanEagle To Increase Power, Reliability

Insitu is bench-testing a clean-sheet engine developed by Perth, Australia-based Orbital for the ScanEagle UAV aimed at providing higher reliability, greater power and increased electrical-generation capacity.

“As the industry matures, so does the importance of a more reliable aircraft and an engine with higher performance,” says Donald Williamson, program manager for the ScanEagle product line.
