Alaska Airlines Orders 10 Boeing 737-900ERs

Alaska Airlines has placed an order for 10 Boeing 737-900ERs, building on Alaska’s all-Boeing fleet. The order is valued at $990 million at current list prices.

“These new airplanes will not only allow network growth, but also enable further cost reductions by replacing Alaska’s 737-400s with new 737-900ERs, capable of carrying 25% more passengers while using the same amount of fuel,” Alaska Airlines said when announcing the order.
