Offshore Helo Operators Work To Share Data, Boost Safety

Five offshore oil and gas helicopter operators are signing up to support a new international industry association. Avincis Group, Bristow and CHC, along with U.S. operators Era Helicopters and Petroleum Helicopters Inc (Phi), are the founding members of Heli Offshore, a new international offshore operators group working to improve flight safety and confidence in the industry.

The London-based organization will replace the European Helicopter Operators Committee (EHOC) in the coming weeks, with members looking to dissolve EHOC in October.
