Virgin America Drops Some Chicago Flights, Adds More JFK And BOS Service

JetBlue said it was adding the service at the request of customers who “…have long asked for a high-quality option to Las Vegas.” But JetBlue will be entering a crowded market—Southwest Airlines, Virgin America and United Airlines operate 22 daily departures—so it is likely the airline’s addition of two daily flights starting on Jan. 5 is only a competitive response.
